Forensic Psychology & Neuro-Forensics

Forensic Psychology & Lie Detection Suite

Digital traces are only half the story. DFREC’s forensic psychology unit combines classical psychological assessment with advanced neuro-forensic techniques — including Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature (BEOS) and FBIC testing — to analyse intent, credibility, deception, and behaviour in complex criminal investigations, corruption cases, and high-stakes disputes.

Neuro-Forensic Technology

Inside the Mind of Evidence

Our psychologists work alongside digital forensic analysts to provide integrated, multi-disciplinary opinions in cases involving disputed intent, coercion, or complex testimony.

BEOS Technology

Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature

Evaluates brain recognition of specific crime-related details. Supports inferences about experiential knowledge beyond simple verbal responses — differentiating direct-experience knowledge from second-hand information.

FBIC Technology

Forensic Brain Image Classifier

Assesses concealed information through event-related brain potentials. Image-driven screening provides an additional objective layer in investigative and judicial contexts.

Integrated Lie Detection for Investigations

DFREC offers a structured lie-detection suite combining BEOS, FBIC, specialised forensic interviewing, and where appropriate polygraph assessment — giving investigators a multi-modal view of truthfulness alongside digital and documentary evidence.

All neuro-forensic procedures are conducted by qualified specialists under strict ethical and legal oversight and are always interpreted in conjunction with other evidence. DFREC does not provide standalone results without contextual investigation support.
Training Academy

DFREC Training Academy

Built on NFSU curricula and TSUL’s legal expertise, DFREC operates a training academy designed for judges, prosecutors, police, regulators, and corporate security leaders. Our goal: raise the region’s capacity to investigate, prosecute, and prevent technology-enabled crime.
